Oh my word what beautiful poems! I am not an avid poetry reader but find myself thoroughly enjoying Amy Carmichael's poems. I love her imaginative expressions of love to the Lord. "Have we not seen Thy shining garment's Hem floating at dawn across the golden skies" These poems really speak to the heart and are such a breath of fresh air indeed! So glad I came across the book!
Beautiful, spiritual poetry by a great Christian. I read quotes from her in some of Billy Graham's works and always wanted to find her poetry but could not, until now. Thank you!
I got the book because of a poem of hers often referred to that is really good. The book is worth this one poem. I didn't read every page,but it appears the rest of her stuff is benign. Page 223, "Make Me Thy Fuel" - "Let me not sink to be a clod:Make me thy fuel, flame ofGod." Another, "No Scar?", is good and also popularly quoted. Page 173.

Wonderful collection of poems. Ideal to leave on your nightstand and read a few before bedtime, or when you wake up. There is a lot of depth to the poems and they make you think about Christ as Redeemer, Lord and Creator, about your relationships and life in general.
