The application of these ideas WORKS! They're also fun to read because of the language; it's like a trip back in time to the 1920s. Anyway, my story is this: I was working in an environment that was soul-draining. I love my job, but the environment was literally exhausting me. I was giving my all and then some but I was on empty. I knew something had to change soon.I knew about a business that fit perfectly with my values, and was only 3 miles from home. Working there would allow my daughter to be in a positive, healthy school culture and get top-notch instruction. However, job openings are few and far between. One day I was on the verge of calling in sick, but I mustered up the energy to trudge in to work because many people were depending on me that day. When I got to work, my colleague, said, "hey, did you know X has an opening?" I was ecstatic and hopeful! I focused on doing the best I could at my current job, and gave it my all. When I got home that night, I began reading this book and got to work on applying for the position. It required a LOT of mental discipline to stay focused on the positive ideas, no matter how unrealistic it seemed. On a daily basis I wrote affirmations, stayed focused on the outcome I wanted, and turned the entire process over to God to manage for me. It's an important caveat to leave space for God to work on our behalf- sometimes what we want is not actually what's best. I relaxed and found ways to be happy in my job at the time. Finally, through a combination of fortuitous coincidences (the position opened up because the previous person was offered a promotion in another state) and taking actions with integrity, love and faith, I interviewed for the position. By the end of the day, they had offered it to me. My boss at the time released me from my contract with blessings, and I started the new job 2 weeks later. All I can say now is THANK YOU!!! :-D These ideas truly work if you do the work too.
I was at work at my second job just being a little down. This customer started asking me about my life and I told her things had been hard. I try to stay positive for my kids but everything seems to go wrong. She told me about this book and boy has it changed my life. I now know how to ask/pray for things that I want in my life. It has given me faith in the unknown and the universe. I recommend this book to so many people I have meet that are having trouble dealing with situations in their lives. The universe show's us signs all the time but we miss them. Things happen to all of us for a reason. One big situation was my car broke down and I could not afford to get it fixed and I put it out to the universe that I needed a car. My brother called me the next day saying my nephew had just bought a new car and I could have his old one.Just out of the blue.I have already read it twice, and when I start feeling down I start reading it again.
This book is a life changer. I had got the complete set of Florence Scovill Schinn books 30 years ago, had never read them until 5 years later when I went through major depression and ended up in the hospital for a ten day treatment. I had my girlfriend bring them to me so I would have something to read. I honestly think these books saved my life and did more for me than the hospital stay. Over the years I had lent my books to several friends to help them, which they did. After several years of lending them, they finally never made it back to me. I recently suffered another bout of depression and bought this book which is all of the set in one book. Just like before this book has helped to get me back on track. Even though these books were written in the early 1900s, they are so relevant today and are just full of helpful things that I think everyone should experience. I can’t say enough good things about this book, they’re worth their weight in gold, do yourself a favor and buy them!
This Book Changed my Life. WOW! Excellent. Such an easy read but so soulful and knowledgeable. Although most of the writing is in reference from the position of Lord and Jesus Christ (but both which gets translated and blew my mind), she also expertly weaves in other view points, religions, the occult etc making it very dimensional. This book was recommended to me and I've never gifted a book as many times as this. It's so empowering and truly has cleared my path, and bestowed me to manifest positively. This book is divided into 3 small books. All go hand in hand. I can't imagine reading one without the other. This is a living document. I LOVE IT and could not be living the life of my dreams without it!!
This version of Florence's Complete Works cost a little more than the other version with a light colored cover (called her "…..Writings…") that I bought for myself. This one is thinner and is printed on better quality paper. It even looks like the binding will last longer. I gave this one as a gift. I wish I would have bought this one the first time, because I love Florence's books so much I mark them up and read and reread them over and over. I am sure my version will not stand up against such abuse.Her books give an incredible understanding of Biblical truth and what we are all entitled to under grace, how prayer works, what we do wrong and what we need to do to receive answers to our heart's most desperate desires. Don't miss out. It may take some work/effort, but I believe she is absolutely correct.

Florence Scovel Shinn was a master of spirituality.Her writings clicked my fifty-nine-year old lifetime of studying spirit, together. Her works are positive, support real Truth and cut to the chase. EVERYBODY, I hope you read this book. It would help our world at a most critical time - we need Light and Love people putting their talents and interior, spiritual skills, their MINDS into action. I've never found a better written version - a more useful version - of how our minds operate and respond to our instructions - and the CHOICE to select who's issuing the orders. Fabulous.
